When reading for Seminar 2 we came across the concept of Low Fidelity Prototyping and discussed whether that could be a good idea for us. We felt that when we had refined our design we wanted to tweak design and see what problems could arise in a low-fi form before doing our online prototype. The online, high fidelity, prototype is something we believe will be more time consuming and therefore wanted to iron out as many problems and all be on the same page when it came to the rough design before starting.
We create three different low-fi prototypes for three different scenarios in our museum:
1. When arriving
2. During the visit
3. When leaving
Since our concept is screen based we used A4-papers to represent how we wanted the screens to look and interact.
The best part of this process for us was that we really discussed how we wanted the layout to look, less how it should look with colours and such and more the basic elements of the design and therefore got a really good basis for our online prototype.
